Working With Me
What Empower means to me: To me, Empower means helping people recognize their inherent strengths while creating a space where they feel safe, supported, and understood. Healing happens through connection, self-discovery, and developing the confidence to navigate life’s challenges with greater authenticity.
My Philosophy: I believe we are best understood within the context of our lives, shaped by our relationships, identities, emotional experiences, culture, and lived experiences. Therapy is a collaborative process that honors the connection between our emotions, relationships, and physical experiences while creating opportunities for meaningful growth. I strive to provide an affirming, compassionate environment where clients feel respected and empowered to explore themselves without judgment.
What sessions with me look like: My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll explore patterns in relationships, communication, attachment, and emotional experiences while building practical skills to help you navigate everyday challenges. Drawing primarily from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness while creating space for greater self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change.

I was drawn to becoming a therapist because I’ve always been fascinated by the ways our relationships, identities, and life experiences shape who we are. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted, especially during times of uncertainty or transition. Being able to walk alongside people as they gain insight, develop new skills, and reconnect with themselves is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
What I enjoy most about being a therapist is building authentic relationships with my clients. I value creating a space where people can be vulnerable without fear of judgment and where healing feels collaborative rather than prescriptive. Whether someone is working through anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or life transitions, I strive to help them feel more connected to themselves and to the people who matter most to them.
I am especially passionate about providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care and supporting individuals and couples as they navigate identity, intimacy, communication, and relational concerns. I believe that personal experiences cannot be separated from their broader social and
cultural context, and I aim to help clients cultivate greater self-understanding, resilience, authenticity, and connection.
