Working With Me

What Empower means to me: To me, empowerment means recognizing your inner strengths and using them to create the life that you want to live and find the most meaningful. It also means giving yourself grace and allowing yourself to fail and try again.

My Philosophy: “The wound is the place where the light enters you. – Rumi” I strongly believe that emotional and life hardships are not something we need to turn away from and feel ashamed of. Instead, it is through these that we can find growth and healing, because vulnerability is a great strength

What sessions with me look like: Therapy is a team effort. Together, we will collaboratively create goals and work towards a life worth living, whatever that means to you. Sessions with me are a nonjudgmental and supportive environment. I believe the client is the expert of their own lived experience and I am there to help guide you through your journey. Every person is complex and has a unique intersection of identities. Our work together is a place where you can be your most authentic self.

EDUCATION

Pace University, Pleasantville, NY: MS in Mental Health Counseling (Expected August 2027)

Pace University, New York, NY: BA/MA in Psychology (2023)

At the beginning of my academic career, I was set on going into research rather than becoming a therapist. I was a research assistant and studied a range of topics: body positivity and its relation to social media, dating behaviors during COVID, and mindful smartphone usage. However, the more I learned through research, the more I realized I wanted to learn directly from people and connect with them. I am very curious about people and the way our identities and backgrounds shape who we are. I feel privileged to be able to do this work and lucky to be a part of a field that is ever growing and evolving.
