Group Neurodivergence Therapy
Many people who are neurodivergent face daily personal challenges and stressors that can be intimidating, scary, or simply overwhelming. Managing the demands of a fast-paced world with a mind that works differently than most can be draining, especially when trying to communicate specific needs to others. Connecting with individuals who deeply understand these struggles can provide validation and reassurance, as well as guidance and support on making needed adjustments in life.
At Empower Your Mind Therapy, we offer specialized group therapy tailored for individuals navigating neurodivergence’s complexities. Our Neurodivergent Psychoeducation and Processing Groups create a supportive and secure space for individuals to explore their relationships, emotions, and unique perspectives in a way that respects their neurodivergent experiences.
Why Group Therapy for Neurodivergence?
Led by experienced therapists who specialize in treating the neurodivergent community, our group therapy sessions enable individuals to connect with others who are experiencing similar challenges. Participants can receive support and guidance from their peers and therapists, fostering community and understanding.
Within our group therapy sessions, individuals will acquire coping skills, learn healthy ways to manage emotions, and develop strategies for fostering positive relationships sensitive to neurodivergent perspectives. Group therapy complements individual therapy by providing a sense of community and empathy that can strengthen the commitment to the therapy process.

How It Works
We host weekly virtual support groups specifically designed for neurodivergent individuals. These groups offer a different kind of support compared to traditional therapeutic meetings. Our goal is to create a space where neurodivergent individuals can come together for meaningful discussions and mutual support on topics that directly impact their daily lives. By engaging in caring and nonjudgmental conversations, participants can share their stories and learn from the experiences of others.
The groups provide a safe environment where the distinct challenges of living with neurodivergence are acknowledged and embraced, while also honoring and celebrating each participant’s individuality. These sessions are led by licensed mental health counselors with expertise in neurodiversity, ensuring a knowledgeable and compassionate approach to group facilitation.
If you or someone you know is neurodivergent and would like support around navigating their thoughts and emotions, we invite you to reach out to us to explore our group therapy offerings. Together, we can collaborate towards supporting individuals through their challenges and making accommodations for their needs in a way that honors neurodivergent experiences.
