Working With Me
What Empower means to me: Empowerment is learning to feel in control of things in your life you view as uncontrollable. It is finding the strength to get through hard times and feel stronger on the other side.
My Philosophy: “You are the expert on what you have experienced and it is my job to help you further understand yourself and how to apply this knowledge to the future. Every day is a new chance to start fresh and work on your goals. I want to work with you to find your strengths and learn how to navigate the challenges you encounter.
What sessions with me look like: Sessions with me include working through the tough times and celebrating the wins. We will work together in a supportive and nonjudgemental space where we will work together towards your goals. Our sessions will explore the multifaceted parts of your identity and how they influence how you interact with the world around you. We will approach topics that may seem scary or daunting at a pace that feels comfortable with you.

More About Me
Ever since my psychology class in high school when the curriculum didn’t cover the LGBTQIA+ community, I knew I wanted to be a therapist that worked with marginalized communities. This drove me to work with intimate partner violence survivors for the past seven years. As well as gaining further experience working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, my focus is on the chronic illness community, and the neurodivergent community.
I quickly discovered that one of my favorite parts of being a therapist is getting to know my clients and learn about who they are. There are times where this involves talking through hard memories or cheering for the little win they had that week.
An additional thing that drew me to becoming a therapist is the continuous opportunity to grow and learn. I feel this is applicable to both therapists and people seeking therapy. I am excited to continue to grow with you and work with you to achieve your therapeutic goals.
