Working With Me
What Empower means to me: Empowerment is a quiet strength. It means making choices based on your growing self-awareness. There’s a tremendous sense of freedom, clarity, and maturity that comes from being curious about yourself, embracing what you discover, and using what you’ve learned to live your life fully!
My Philosophy: I believe that clients already know themselves very well. Coming to therapy means there’s not only a desire to know yourself better, but a humility and bravery in asking for help in doing so. I have immense respect for the ongoing personal work clients take on by beginning treatment. Growth is messy and beautiful, and therapy helps you imagine new possibilities for your future while building confidence in your ability to actualize them.
What sessions with me look like: Therapy is not always an easy journey, and sometimes things get harder before they get easier. Working with me means you don’t have to go through it all alone. The honesty and motivation you bring to each session will fuel a process of exploration and skills-building in a caring space. With your well-being at the forefront, we’ll be creative in crafting a way of working together that’s right for you.
I want to help you achieve your goals and build skills to maintain them. You have the power to share your story and express yourself with me, and I am here to listen, guide, and support you every step of the way!

I worked in the performing arts as a dancer for twenty years while also working passionately as a teaching artist in public schools across the boroughs and around the world. Art has the power to convey the most simple and the most complex truths of being human. It helps us express ourselves, connect with others, and live more fully. Therapy does this too. I enjoy using my curiosity, creativity, and collaborative spirit to support others in a compassionate way. My clinical experience and ongoing training continue to weave together my artistic sensibilities with my long-standing interest in resiliency and relationships, my passion for science and health, and my deep appreciation for teamwork.
It’s also important to me that people who need support have access to care. It can be a critical turning point in beginning to imagine a different future. While therapy is just one of many ways to be supported, I find that the confidentiality protecting this work can bring a client’s self-understanding and growth to a new level. I’ve also seen how small shifts in individuals can have ripple effects that benefit entire communities. Each step a client takes toward self-compassion and empowerment offers the possibility that someone else might take that step too.
Ultimately, I’m motivated to work as a therapist because navigating life’s challenges is no easy task, but therapy can make it a little easier.
