Working With Me
What Empower means to me: Providing clients an accepting space where they can take steps outside of their comfort zone to explore the inner strengths. Building this empowerment will guide them in unveiling the power to take control over their lives by converting intentions into actions on their journey of making their life worth loving. Afterall, giving ourselves grace while going through the process of owning and rewriting our own narrative takes an exceptional amount of courage.
My Philosophy: Growth doesn’t come from a place of comfort. However, with unconditional support, that process can be a unique experience that we dive into together. By meeting clients where they are at and focusing on a collaborative effort to reduce symptoms, our alliance will emphasize the transparency and vulnerability that’s necessary to ensure that, despite having faced adversities, there is still hope for living a life that you envision for yourself.
What sessions with me look like: My belief is that therapy aids in establishing a clearer picture of how to heal, discover your identity, and find safety within. I value creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where I can employ my desire to understand you while displaying empathy and acceptance. I work hard to foster a unique relationship with each individual that I get the pleasure of working with to ensure that you feel seen and heard. Together, we will work on effective skills to utilize for processing emotions and the daily stressors of life in general, in addition to learning the tools to be an advocate for yourself. Additionally, the progress we’ll make together will entail gaining a deeper sense of the skills necessary to respond to triggers in order to develop a stronger insight to your self-awareness and the ability to challenge and redirect negative coping skills.

More About Me
Growing up, I did not have the resources readily available to me to process my own adversities and mental health concerns. Knowing what this felt like, I made it my goal to be that resource for others. I believe that everything happens for a reason. Having this experience has enabled me to develop a sense of empathy where understanding others on such a deep level just clicks. Therefore, the trials and tribulations that I faced throughout my life have given me purpose, and the privilege to be a part of others’ journey of healing is immense.
Previously, I interned at a shelter for survivors of domestic violence and was a recovery specialist for a residential treatment center for adults with eating disorders. I have worked as a care coordinator for an outpatient eating disorder company and am looking forward to working with like-minded individuals and getting the amazing opportunity to continue helping others.
