Working With Me
What Empower means to me: Empowerment is having the skills, resources, and support to become your most authentic self and to reach your full potential.
My Philosophy: Through every hardship that we are presented in life, there are valuable lessons to be learned that build tenacity, character, and shape us into the individual we are meant to become. I love this quote by Confucius, “our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” This resonates to me as overcoming challenges in life is where we find our true power.
What sessions with me look like: I can be the person with whom you can share whatever is on your mind, free of judgement. Sharing through therapy can be a challenging experience, but I will create a safe environment where you feel comfortable to share, feel validated, and be understood. Through our sessions, we will work together to determine co-created goals that are healthy, realistic, and enable you to become the best version of yourself. Our work together will focus on challenging maladaptive behavior and thinking patterns as well as implementing coping skills to enable you to better deal with stressors.
Each person is an individual with varying intersectional aspects of their personality that make them who they are. I want to hear your individual life story, and work together to make the changes that are necessary to enable you to thrive.

More About Me
From a young age, I have always been fascinated by the complexity of the mind and how our cognition affects behaviors, emotions, and thoughts. As I continued my study in the fields of psychology and cognitive neuroscience, I became enamored with what I was learning and how I was able to apply this new information to my life and previous experiences. I knew that psychology was the field I wanted to pursue as a career, as it enabled me to follow my desire to help and guide others, while also providing me with the information to consistently improve upon and further understand myself.
