Working With Me

What Empower means to me: To me, empower means that the power to change is already inside of you. My job is simply to help you realize and embody it so that you can live your best life.

My Philosophy: I believe that everyone is worthy and capable of change. Some of the stickiest yet most fruitful progress will be found in balancing things that seem to be at odds with each other. You are doing the best you can AND you have to do better. Acknowledging and accepting that both of these are true at the same time can be very powerful.

What sessions with me look like: You may know that something in your life has to change but you’re not sure exactly how, or what. I will work with you to figure it out and be there with you every step of the way, but at its core, our work will be guided by your goals and what you want to bring to each session. As a queer biracial person, I know how complex identity can be. This is a space where you can show up as your complete authentic self.

More About Me

Before I became a therapist, I worked in corporate tech, but I had the feeling that something important was missing. I loved working on complex issues and getting to the root of the problem, but I yearned for a deeper, more meaningful way to engage with and help people. Through my volunteer work as a crisis counselor, I became certain that this was the right path for me. I feel privileged and humbled to get to sit with people in some of the darkest moments of their lives, and I continually find this work to be fulfilling in how it connects me to our shared humanity.
