Working With Me
What Empower means to me: Empowerment to me is having the power to be the best version of yourself. And to create the life that you want and deserve.
My Philosophy: There’s light at the end of the tunnel. Together we can find it. By the end of therapy, you’ll rediscover happiness and connect to what makes you, you.
What sessions with me look like: I can be that person who you can pour your heart out to, without fear of judgment. I want to know the unique you. Our work together is about empowering you to make positive changes in your life. My goal is to help you learn to live in the present and find acceptance of the things you cannot control. You can change the way you think about and react to your life’s circumstances. Life is hard–but together we can make it easier.
Likely, you are entering therapy because you feel drained, lacking energy to live your life and are struggling to accomplish your goals. We will work to help you overcome the obstacles getting in the way, the things that take up mental energy leaving you feeling exhausted- anxiety, inability to let go of the past, lack of meaningful relationships and your inner critic. By doing so, you can find the energy and motivation that you are searching for to live your life to its fullest. Let’s find that light at the end of the tunnel together!

More About Me
When I was an undergraduate student, I changed my major a lot. One thing stayed constant though, which was my minor in Psychology. I always knew I was interested in Psychology and the way people’s minds work but, I also wanted to be a writer and I wound up getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing. After graduating, I worked with people in many different ways and I was fascinated by so many stories. Hearing that other people had struggles and seeing the perseverance in so many people, made me look at myself more closely. I too had a story. Based on my experience, I wanted to figure out how to find a stable career that I would love. Something that I can put my all into that would make me and those who loved me, proud. It didn’t take long for me to decide to apply to Graduate School to become a mental health counselor. It was the best decision and when I graduated, I knew that this was what I was always meant to do.
