Working With Me

What Empower means to me: Empowerment to me means feeling bold, strengthened, and the ultimate boss of your life. It’s being in charge of your life and your choices and enabling yourself to feel comfortable, strong, and confident in all aspects of your life.

My Philosophy: Life is but a journey” At times within life, there may be a point where we expect to know it all, we have expectations of where, how, and who we should be. We place these expectations on ourselves rather than accepting that life is a continuous journey with ups and downs. Perfection doesn’t exist but rather a conscious effort to always continue on your journey (yours and no one else’s). You will always be learning, living, and experiencing while on your journey to become the best you you can be.

What sessions with me look like: You are the captain of your own ship, and I am merely a guide helping you along your journey. Sessions with me are a collaborative process of helping you to attain your goals. I believe that I am there to provide the tools and teach techniques that can help you be your best self. I aim to provide a safe and welcoming space in which you feel comfortable enough to share and empowered enough to grow. Through sessions we will work together to help you build life-long skills that will help you along your life journey.

More About Me

From a young age, I was always deeply interested in the field of psychology. I wanted to know why people think the way they do and how our experiences shape our perspectives and world-view. It wasn’t until college however that I truly became knowledgeable about the mental health field and saw the importance and influence that therapy services could have within one’s life. I saw how therapy could help to combat childhood trauma, life transitions, or anxiety-while also providing helpful tools and techniques that can have long-lasting effects in life.

I’ve always been drawn to job roles that revolve around connecting with people. From being a resident assistant and orientation leader in college to working as a graduate advisor during grad school. I found myself frequently having in-depth conversations with individuals. We would find ourselves connecting the dots of past experiences with current likes/dislikes or talking about their cultures and backgrounds.

I enjoy helping clients find the connections and patterns that may exist in their lives and providing resources and tools that can help them along their life’s journey and pursuit of being their best selves. Through our work together, I hope to help you feel more empowered, more able, and more confident in yourself and your aspirations.
