Working With Me

What Empower means to me: To me, empower means freedom from fear. Having the tools, awareness, and self-trust to move through life’s challenges with confidence and authenticity.

My Philosophy: I believe healing begins when we feel seen, safe, and connected. My approach is grounded in empathy, mindfulness, and curiosity, helping clients reconnect with their inner strength and learn how to navigate life’s transitions with more balance and self-compassion. I see therapy as a collaborative process that encourages growth at your own pace.

What sessions with me look like: Sessions with me are warm, conversational, and focused on helping you feel grounded and understood. I integrate mindfulness, body awareness, and evidence-based practices to help clients identify patterns, regulate emotions, and build tools for everyday life. You can expect a space where your thoughts and feelings are welcomed without judgment.

More About Me

My passion for mental health work began through my own healing journey. In my early twenties, I struggled with severe social anxiety and found support through therapy and yoga. My yoga teacher, who was also my therapist, gave me the first tools that helped me manage my anxiety and reconnect back with myself. That experience transformed me and inspired my desire to help others find their own sense of peace, confidence, and clarity.

Over the years, I’ve built hands-on experience in the mental health field, working in psychiatric care as a mental health worker. I’ve had the opportunity to support adults, adolescents, and children navigating a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. For 7 years, I volunteered at several rehabilitation centers, which deepened my understanding of human resilience and strengthened my commitment to this work.

As a third-year graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Bridgeport, I continue to grow both academically and professionally. My coursework and field experience have helped me integrate theory with practice. From understanding affective and mood disorders to exploring multicultural and women’s issues. Each experience has shaped my holistic, person-centered approach to helping clients feel empowered and understood.

My goal as a therapist is to meet clients where they are, help them explore who they are becoming, embrace change, and cultivate tools that allow them to live more fully.
