Working With Me
What Empower means to me: Unlocking your potential to achieve your goals and live life to the fullest.
My Philosophy: While we cannot change our pasts, we can absolutely shape our futures to find peace and acceptance. It is always possible to gain more control over our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
What sessions with me look like: I always start work by centering you. What are your goals? What would make your life worth living? How can we reduce your pain and suffering? What would bring you joy and how can we get there? I view therapy as an equal partnership; we will take this journey together.
I like to use a combination of mindfulness and dialectical behavioral techniques to help you reduce anxiety, increase self-confidence, and find joy. I ensure that our sessions are inclusive, non-judgmental, and validating spaces to help you heal and grow. Our lives are complex and each person is unique, therefore I pay special attention to the intersections of race, religion, culture, and sexuality.

More About Me
I am a first-generation immigrant, born and raised in West Texas. Growing up, my personal experiences shaped my understanding of the world and how it can shape others as well. My past has taught me the value of a supportive community, and the harm of judgement and invalidation.
During my undergraduate degree, I volunteered at a young adult social service agency. Surrounded by this inspirational community, I then knew that becoming a therapist was the next step in my journey. I wanted to become a support to others, to help uplift and guide where and when I can.
