Working With Me

What Empower means to me: Empower means to inspire, to positively influence, and ultimately awaken the true superpowers that are already within you. Empowering is essentially watering what is already there.

My Philosophy: Counseling is a very empowering experience. Sometimes we are not granted the support we need in the real world to empower us to deal within our struggles and adversities, and it is very helpful to get this support from a therapist who can remind you and help you see that there are people who care and want to help you get through these struggles. I do believe that to see true progress from counseling, it is important to remember that therapy is a two-way street for clients to see progress and hit breakthroughs.

What sessions with me look like: As your Mental Health Counselor, I am here to guide you into your healing. I am here to ask the questions that were never asked, promote self-reflection, and offer you guidance along the way. Getting to your first therapy session is an accomplishment, and from our first session you and I both will measure our progress and work hard together to get you to where you need to be. In our therapeutic sessions, I aim to provide a safe vulnerable environment where you can be as open and honest as you would like to.

EDUCATION

Molloy University, Rockville Centre, NY – M.S Clinical Mental Health Counseling, May 2025

Queens College, CUNY, Flushing, NY – B.A Psychology, 2021

What motivated me to be a therapist and help others was at first overall reflecting on my sole life journey from childhood through adulthood. There were many anxious and depressive moments due to uncertainty, doubt, or difficulty making important decisions. Outside of our parents, often we are not taught or warned about what’s to come as we grow older and deal with different life issues. As a 1st generation American in my family, there were many things I had to learn and navigate on my own. This helped gain resilience throughout the years and I feel it is important to pass this on.

Going through growing pains while learning and reflecting on my mistakes and experiences, this is the field I believe I get to exercise my skills. Being a therapist is a true privilege being that I can help guide someone through their obstacles and hardships and act as their support agent. Support goes a long way and may make life’s transitions and issues a bit smoother.

I also wanted to become a therapist because I wanted to learn what different modalities or techniques can serve different populations or client issues. Being able to apply these techniques and advise clients to use them to improve their quality of life truly inspires me to do what I do!
