Working With Me
What Empower means to me: Discovering your inner strengths and drawing on them to create change and achieve your goals. Empowerment is all about calling on your true potential to take control of your life and transform it into what you want it to be.
My Philosophy: I believe every person holds the power inside of them to create the change they seek. My goal as your counselor is to help you uncover that power and direct it towards the paths that will lead you to a more fulfilling life. By having someone to unconditionally support you through the obstacles, you will realize you are more capable than you originally gave yourself credit for.
What sessions with me look like: I take a person-centered approach to counseling, meaning our sessions are focused on your wants, needs, and goals. My intention is to individually shape our sessions to help you get what you want from this experience, not to force you into a box in which you don’t fit. I view my clients holistically, acknowledging the ways our biology, different identities, and past experiences impact our lives and our worldview. Our work together will be geared towards gaining self-awareness, challenging negative thoughts and behaviors, and exploring effective coping skills to manage your stressors.
Being open and vulnerable can be uncomfortable and scary, but my office is a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings without judgement. I want to hear what you have to say and meet you exactly as you are. Your story isn’t over – it’s just beginning. Let’s work together to better understand yourself, accomplish your goals, and create the life you want to live.

More About Me
I always wanted a career that allowed me to help others. As a teen, I became the person my friends and family would talk when encountering problems and seeking advice. Through overcoming my own emotional issues, I discovered the power of counseling and how having just one person to listen can make all the difference. This helped me to discover my true calling as a counselor, to be the person to carry the deepest pains of others and lead them towards a path of healing.
I received my Bachelors in Psychology as well as my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York. I have interned at the Molloy College Mental Health and Wellness Center and Balance Mental Health Counseling in Huntington, NY. After having the amazing opportunity to work with clients of my own, I know that I’ve truly found my purpose in life as a mental health counselor.
